Figo's Mexican Restaurant Reviews
After entering this restaurant I wasn't overly impressed. Once Sam came over and greeted my wife and me I felt right at home. She explained everything that I asked. Including food choices. Which dead on. My food was amazing, as was my wife's too. Sam is a real gem. Figo's is lucky to have her.
Loved this place! Great place to stop on our trip. House margaritas were really good. We had verde enchiladas, lunch pollo parilla (grilled chicken breast with onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese sauce. This was divine. So good. Also had chicken taco salad and crunchy beef tacos with rice and beans. Cute location, very nice servers. Give them a try!
We'd avoided this place for the four years we've been in the area, mainly because there's nothing Mexican about this area, and we had never seen more than maybe three cars on the gravel lot. Boy were we wrong! We checked reviews, and they were encouraging, so we finally tried them this evening. It was somewhat odd that the place seemed to appear just like your typical little farm country restaurant inside (no Mexican decor), and we never did see anyone who appeared to be Mexican working there, but the service was great, the chips and salsa were very good, the food was much better than we expected, and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely go there again, and probably very soon.
So yummy!!! The carnitas meal was everything! The carne asada tacos! OMG! Definitely stop by!
ORDER THE CHEESE DIP!!! You'll thank me later! We were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. I wasn't sure how good Mexican food out in the middle of the country was going to be, but we decided to give it a shot. Sam was our server and she took great care of our table! I measure every Mexican restaurant by their tacos Al Pastor. I was happy to see them served in corn tortillas. The flavors were all there, I could have used just a little more pork on my plate. The beans and rice had a nice kick. The margarita went down easy and was the perfect salty/sweet combo you know and love. We will definitely visit again when we're out this way again.
